Protective Atmosphere

How many people are actually read the ingredients and information printed on the cover of a product when you consume it?
I just found out a funny label on Mister Potato Crisps.

What do you mean by "Packed in a protective atmosphere"??
Is it with security protection or air-tight tupperware?? (or safe sex condom protection??)
The word "Protective Atmosphere" just make me think of bunch of workers are packing the crisps underground "protected" by C4 armed security guards... =.="

Please get some real professionals to do the jobs.
